Dr Christopher Groves is a Research Fellow in the School of Social Sciences at Cardiff University in the UK. A specialist in the ethics and politics of sustainability and technology, he has authored or co-authored two internationally highly-cited monographs and over twenty-five articles and book chapters.

Throughout his career he has contributed keynote lectures to academic and industry conferences, and has acted as a consultant to activist groups and legal firms on risk and environmental issues. Committed to outreach and engagement activities that allow researchers and the wider public to interact, he has organised and run community debate and discussion events for over a decade within Cardiff, and contributed talks to a wide range of other events, including the Hay-on-Wye literary festival.
