Dr Christopher Groves
research on risk, uncertainty and the social impacts of technology
Dr Groves is currently working on the FLEXIS project as a senior social science researcher, leading one work package of research on expert visions of energy system change and collaborating with colleagues on two others, looking at energy poverty and decarbonisation, and community perspectives on decarbonisation scenarios.
He was previously a senior researcher on the Energy Biographies project, which examined how energy use changes throughout the lifecourse, and in particular how people's emotional attachments to particular practices and objects are an important element of how they use energy.
